Barbara Kienzler

When the schools are closed in District 186,
the NCCL will also be closed!

The library is currently closed due to COVID-19. We're working on a reopening strategy that puts safety first and foremost!

You may have seen the Scavenger Hunt in the Enos Park Neighborhood Improvement Association Banner? The trickier items to find were:

*Mural: There's a mural on the side of the shed in the Neighborhood Garden on N 5th!

*Sculpture: There's a big metal bison at the Springfield Art Association, across from McClernand Elementary on N 5th, or three in the Sculpture Garden at N 8th and Enos Ave!

*Church: There's two in our neighborhood! There's Kumler United Methodist on Carpenter and N 5th, and Third Presbyterian Church at 1030 N 7th St!

*Fountain: There's two of these as well! There's on in the Sculpture Garden and one at a neighbor's house on N 5th on the east side of the street as you're coming toward the school!

*Non-profit business: There's a few! We have Inner City Mission, the Northside Children's Community Library and Mini O'Beirn Crisis Nursery, all on N 7th, all doing important work for the community!

We had to cancel a few major fundraisers due to the virus, so any donations are appreciated!

We're in the process of getting our 501(c)3, and until that's finalized, can give you a donation receipt using Third Presbyterian Church's tax exempt number. All funds go directly to the library and benefit area youth!

The coordinator, assistant  and volunteers work one-
on-one to help students improve grades, develop reading and computer skills and become more involved in their community.  All this takes money so donations are greatly appreciated!
